When you're on the water, the getting there is half the fun - the enjoyment of boating, and so much to see along the way. And on the Lakes there are dozens and dozens of delightful destinations.

As part of the briefing at the start of your holiday, we will take you through the map and help you plan your own personal itinerary, depending on your interests.

Two day itinerary

Day one
Sperm Whale Head for lunch, Short bushwalk to Lake Killarney, Cruise along the Tambo River and overnight at the Cliffs, Fishing in the evening and early morning

Day two
Ocean Grange for lunch, Walk to the Ninety Mile Beach, Return to Riviera Nautic

Three-day itinerary

Day one
Barrier Landing for lunch, and then a walk along the ocean beach
Boxes Creek for overnight, An afternoon swim on the Bancroft Bay beach


Day two
Watch for the sea eagles flying over Boxes Creek first thing in the morning
Raymond Island for koala spotting, and lunch at Espas Cafe
Rotamah Island for overnight, where there's a walking track to Ninety Mile Beach (4 km return), with bird hides and kangaroos along the way
Wood fired barbecue dinner

Day three
Early morning jog on Rotamah, listening to the birds Mitchell River silt jetties for lunch Return to Riviera Nautic
Five-day itinerary
Day one
Barrier Landing for lunch and a walk along the ocean beach
Boxes Creek for overnight, Walk along the banks of the creek to Hove To


Day two
Breakfast in Metung, Along the Bunga Arm to the first blow hole
Overnight in the Bunga - watch the spectacular sunset

Day three
Start the day with a swim or a run along the beach, Wattle Point for lunch
Overnight in Duck Arm


Day four
Barbecue lunch at Sperm Whale Head and a bushwalk
Along the Tambo to a shady bank mooring, Swim and fish


Day five
Lunch at Raymond Island, Return to Riviera Nautic

Seven day itinerary
Day one
Sperm Whale Head for barbecue lunch, Bush walk along Barton’s Hill Walking Track, Duck Arm for overnight (the mooring buoy just inside Picnic Arm is a great spot)

Day two
Early morning swim, then head to Wattle Point for lunch, Along McLennan’s Straits to Plover Point for overnight

Day three
Long day’s cruising to Steamer Landing, Lunch along the way, Walk along the Ninety Mile Beach, Overnight at Steamer Landing
Day four
Paynesville for supplies, etc and lunch, Along the Mitchell River to the Eagle Point cliffs for a swim and a fish
Overnight at Paynesville - dinner at a restaurant
Day five
To Rotamah Island for a long walk around the island, Barbecue dinner
Overnight at Rotamah Island


Day six
Picnic lunch at Nungurner Jetty, Barrier Landing for overnight
Walk to the entrance, then cooling swim in the lake


Day seven
Lunch at Boxes Creek, Return to Riviera Nautic
